Renowned for innovation and quality in the automotive sector, we are currently recruiting a skilled and experienced Fitter for Van Conversions to join our team based in Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on professional with a background in van conversions, vehicle fitting, or automotive assembly, who is looking for a long-term role with competitive pay and family-friendly hours. Key Responsibilities as a Fitter for Van Conversions: * Expertly fit and assemble a variety of internal and external components on vans. * Carry out bespoke van conversion work to meet specific customer requirements. * Use hand and power tools to modify, install, and integrate parts with precision. * Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality expectations. * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment. * Conduct quality control checks to ensure work aligns with technical drawings and specifications. * Monitor and manage tool inventory, reporting faults or equipment needs. Requirements: * Proven experience in van conversions, automotive fitting, or custom vehicle builds. * Minimum 3 years' experience in a relevant production or workshop environment. * Strong working knowledge of tools, machinery, and fitting techniques. * NVQ or equivalent qualification in Automotive, Vehicle Mechanics, or related field. * Must provide own tools required for the role. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work from technical drawings and build specifications.
