Job Purpose: Join our customer’s dynamic team as a Field Service Vehicle Engineer, where you will deliver exceptional after-sales support for our service projects. This field service role involves maintenance, repairs, and training, specifically relating to heavy vehicle equipment - ensuring our customers receive top-notch service. Key Responsibilities: * Perform servicing and repairs on-site and at customer locations. * Conduct operator and trainer training sessions. * Carry out LOLER inspections. * Maintain high levels of customer service through effective communication and technical support. Quality & Environmental Duties: * Manage and maintain quality and environmental procedures and records. Candidate Requirements: Knowledge: * 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of waste management or heavy plant equipment. * Strong health and safety practices. Experience: * Minimum 12 months in a customer-facing role. * Recent experience in the waste industry is preferred. Education & Qualifications: * Year 3 C&G/NVQ in engineering or equivalent. * Clean current UK driving licence. * Health and safety qualification and HGV licence are advantageous. Skills & Abilities: * Strong diagnostic skills. * Proficiency in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Intermediate IT skills and strong administration capabilities. Other Requirements: * Ability to work safely at heights and on vehicles. * Flexibility to travel throughout the UK. * Positive attitude towards dynamic workloads. * Willingness to work overtime at short notice
