Russell Taylor Group is working with a Global Testing Company who are looking to appoint an EV Test Engineer who will be operating multiple test rigs, supporting the installation and calibration of systems, and supporting complex electronic systems whilst maintaining high workplace standards. The Role: • Carry out test and development activities. • Understand customer project requirements. • Method writing, modification and scripting for performance and durability tests. • Operating multiple complex test rigs using specialised test methods • Supporting the installation and calibration of complex data acquisitions systems. • Ensure all instrumentation used is calibrated to the companies' rigorous procedures. • Assist in the debugging and development of complicated electronic systems with high-speed serial interfaces. • Support rig or Cell operation and installation with both mechanical and electrical assembly & disassembly tasks with a keen awareness of the company's electrical system standards. • Fluid conditioning & data logging • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and colleagues in a professional manor to develop a strong & productive relationship. The Person: • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a mechanical, automotive, or electrical engineering discipline • Understanding of EV Powertrain or hybrid systems knowledge. • Ability to interpret technical drawings for rigging purposes. • Previous coding experience • Awareness of health and safety regulations. • Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clients. • Highly motivated with a strong ambition to succeed. • Ability to work autonomously. • Good at maintaining consistent paperwork and documentation. • Adaptable with the ability to learn quickly. • Confidence with I.T Systems What you can gain from this opportunity: • Work with the latest technology in a brand-new laboratory • Gain knowledge about multi-phase electrical applications and Power Analysis testing equipment • Working in a variety of software environments • Working with very high-profile clients.
