Our client is seeking an ambitious manufacturing engineer to join their advanced manufacturing division, focusing on EV powertrain projects. These projects encompass EDU, eMachine, and battery assembly, supporting pioneering electrification developments for a high-profile range of electric vehicles. You will be at the forefront of implementing new manufacturing technologies for electric propulsion systems. The role requires strong communication skills, a results-driven mindset, and a customer-focused approach, as you will work with suppliers and multiple customers and departments.   This position offers significant potential for personal growth within a consultancy that collaborates with various customers and sectors. Additionally, there is the exciting opportunity for periodic European and overseas travel to work alongside leading technology suppliers.   Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement assembly and in-process test processes and facilities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Plan, develop, and implement installation timing plans with key suppliers. Ensure robust process planning, including build simulations and PFMEA’s. Verify assembly processes and equipment at suppliers and manufacturing facilities. Manage technical issues and escalate when necessary. Achieve equipment capability and availability targets. Support the resolution of technical issues as needed. Plan, develop, and implement all written processes for manufacturing, including tooling, jigs, and fixtures. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Essential: Experience with manufacturing/engineering processes, tools, and techniques, with a hands-on approach. Experience in facility installation, project management, capability validation, commissioning, and product launch. Ability to work within cross-functional teams and support projects from early concepts to launch. Proficiency with CAD packages to review engineering drawings and models (e.g., Catia V6 & Teamcenter). Understanding of safe automated and manual manufacturing systems. Ability to problem solve technical and manufacturing issues. Desirable: Previous project management experience. Working understanding of process creation systems. Highly motivated and able to work independently. Qualifications: Ideally educated to Degree level, HNC/HND in Manufacturing Systems, or a similar engineering discipline. However, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered. Additional Information: Permanent and FTC contracts inside IR35. Highly competitive rates plus benefits.
