Our busy manufacturing clients based in Nottingham are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ethics & Compliance Manager with immediate effect: The successful candidate will: * Purpose 1: To locally drive the strategic activities of the Compliance area. * Activities Purpose 1: * Work closely with the Head of Ethics & Compliance and global compliance team members to design and implement the strategic initiatives of the programme. * Monitoring and maintenance of the Criminal and Anti-Bribery Compliance Management System within the business. * He/she must provide support to group companies located in the UK. To do so, he/she must be familiar with the UK regulations (UK Bribery Act, NSIA, Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, etc), the American regulations on Compliance (FCPA) and other international regulations. * Report to the Management Body (in coordination with the Head of the area), to Senior Management and to the future local Compliance Body on the status of the Criminal and Anti-Bribery Compliance system. * To be a member of the future local Compliance Body in the part corresponding to the business. * Purpose 2: To promote the culture of ethics and compliance within the business. * Purpose 2 activities: * Deployment of the Code of Conduct and Ethics & Compliance Policies and Procedures. * Ensure the updating of the Code of Conduct, Compliance Policies and Procedures, in accordance with relevant legislative changes in the country, in coordination with the corporate function. * Promote the Ethical culture of compliance and provide support and advice on the Compliance programme to company employees. * Manage the company's Whistleblowing Channel in UK (and other sites like Malta or India), as well as carry out the relevant investigations. * Develop and deliver ethics and compliance awareness and training for all employees. * Purpose 3: Identification and monitoring of compliance risks and management of the area's processes at local level. * Purpose 3 activities: * Drive the implementation and execution of compliance processes for the selection, on-boarding and monitoring of third parties, in line with group-wide policies and procedures and relevant legislation (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, etc.). * Management of local Conflicts of Interest, in coordination with the Head of Ethics & Compliance. * Implementation of Compliance Risk assessment and procedures in the company and manage them appropriately. * Promote and be responsible for the Internal and External Audits of the Criminal and Anti-Bribery compliance system, and the respective controls. * Follow-up of the certifications of the area (e.g. ISO 37001). It is essential that the successful candidate: * Is an experienced Ethics and Compliance professional with relevant in-house compliance experience and a proactive approach to Ethics and Compliance activities and best practice * Is a skilled communicator with the presence in this field to influence stakeholders at all levels within our business and our external partners. Confident to stand up to management challenge and promote doing the right thing * Has the ability to work as part of a central team based in Spain and other regional locations * Has experience in due diligence of third parties (customers, suppliers, business partners) * Is assertive in their approach whist maintaining high levels of organisation * - Technical skills: knowledge of data protection, Excel, SAP, Powerpoint, etc. is desirable. * - Management skills: confidentiality, ability to deal with sensitive issues, teamwork, ability to work in international teams. It is desirable that the successful candidate: The Ethics and Compliance Manager must ensure the Compliance Programme and the promotion of the ethical culture in the UK, promoting locally the strategic activities of the area. To this end, among other activities, he/she must: deploy the Codes and Policies, manage the complaints channel, manage compliance risks and controls, apply the third party management process, promote compliance training and awareness activities, be responsible for audits of the Programme and report both to management and to a potential Compliance Committee in the UK. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, Days covering 38hrs per week. Please note: This role is initially being offered as a 6 month contract. Pay: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
