Engineer / Kart Mechanic HOURS: Full-time and Part-time - MUST be available to work evenings and weekends HOURLY RATE: £Competitive plus uncapped sales commission on merchandise LOCATION: B78 1AR Our client Daytona Tamworth is looking to enhance the Race Team and require x2 full-time, flexible Engineers for their 7-day operational business. As an Engineer /Kart Mechanic you with be required to carry out all aspects of the day-to-day maintenance of their kart fleet to a high standard. You must ensure all targets and expectations are met in a timely manner. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering. As Head of the Engineering Department, you will be responsible for managing the team to ensure they maintain the venue’s kart fleets to Daytona Motorsports very high standards. A positive attitude, excellent organisation skills and a motivational approach to the team are key in delivering this important role. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE: * Have mechanical experience within the corporate / race kart or motorsport sectors. along with a thorough understanding of engineering principles. * Ensure that the karts are maintained to the highest standards of safety. * Ensure all paperwork is kept up to date on a daily basis ensuring it is filled out correctly. * Be flexible and able to work evenings & weekends in addition to weekdays. * Be able to follow instruction quickly and effectively. * Be highly motivated and work well in a team. * Have excellent communication skills. * Be able to work unassisted and ensure all targets are met without fail. * Have excellent problem-solving abilities solving problems quickly and efficiently. * Have own tools or be willing to purchase any tools required to carry out daily maintenance on the karts. Prior experience/knowledge of Sodikart, Birel, Biz and CRG products are highly advantageous. The successful applicant will be required to work flexible hours including some weekend and evening work.
