Electronics Development Engineer Pay Rate: Up to £53 Ltd Location: Silverstone, Northampton Sector: Formula 1/ Motorsport Contract: 6x Month Rolling Status: Outside IR35 The Role: We have an opportunity for an Electronics Development Engineer to join a prestigious new F1 team at their new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will be responsible for the development of on and off-car electronic and electrical systems. The team aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect. Principal Accountabilities: Lead the design and development of bespoke electronic hardware to support on and off-car systems, internal test facilities and rigs. Specification of on and off-car instrumentation. Provide technical input into the development of new technologies with partners and suppliers to improve electronic system performance and reliability. Engage in the definition car electronics systems architecture, including system layout, I/O allocation and CAN architecture. Resolution of electronic system faults. Requirements: A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering/Electronics) or similar Experience with the design of low volume prototype analogue and digital electronic circuits. Use of embedded microcontrollers and bare metal programming would be advantageous. Experience with PCB schematic design. Experience with motorsport data logging systems, preferably F1 SECU. Experience with automotive electronic systems, CAN and sensing technologies. Ability to plan and manage own workloads.
