Good knowledge & experience of automotive electrical & mechanical systems, ideally commercial vehicle experience. • Able to read and understand electrical drawings and circuit diagrams. • Able to record and update circuit diagrams. • Experience with high voltage & CAN systems. • Experience in fault finding and resolution. • Experience with instrumentation and data logging equipment. • Knowledge and ability to carry out mechanical tests. • Good communicator (working with Electrical design, suppliers etc.) • Fluent in MS Office (Outlook, word & excel) • Good communication skills, both written and verbal • PSV or HGV license is desirable. • Aware basic workshop machine tool operation • Ability to work under own initiative. • Experience with laptop based diagnostic equipment. • Able to demonstrate instrumentation & data logging equipment experience (Analogue and CAN systems). • Your work experience will be gained in the automotive industry and in particular; bus, coach, HGV, specialist vehicles or tier-1 suppliers. • We would also welcome those who have gained skills from mobile plant, rail and rolling stock, aerospace, marine, or other similarly complex engineering environments.
