Electrical Reliability Test Engineer (743) Cranfield £30.78p/h We are recruiting for an Electrical Reliability Test Engineer for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield. You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company. This is a long-term contract role. The contract is on an ongoing basis a may run for several years. Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Reliability Test Engineer: • Test/investigation reports, test plan, and test method • Secure the quality of electrical systems to client standards • Complete responsible validation within project milestones • Support / Lead development of HILS system for Body Electronics and Powertrain systems. • Support / lead the management of HILS testing on Electrical Integrated PlatForm. • Lead concern identification to root cause investigation including countermeasure recommendation. • Support both test and design departments to resolve issues with HILS models and testing. • Creation of test plans to meet with project and design milestones. • Creation of testing procedures, confirmation of vehicle spec and test parts required for test. • Formal reporting of test results to design sections and to upper management. • Ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications & Experience for the Electrical Reliability Test Engineer: • Be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline. • Have working knowledge of electrical architecture. • Understand electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices. • Understanding of the fundamental’s electromagnetics • Understanding of component and vehicle EMC test requirements • Have experience risk assessment of electrical design and generation of test plans. • Understand network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) • Be able to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections. • Be able to demonstrate and have practical experience in problem solving tools and tech-niques. • Be conversant with digital oscilloscopes, network and RF measurement equipment. Hours & Pay for the Electrical Reliability Test Engineer: • Monday to Friday • 39 hours per week • £30.78p/h LMIND
