I have an opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the UK's leading Defence organisation. The role is based fulltime onsite at Barrow-in-Furness and you must be eligible for SC Clearance to be considered. The working pattern for this role is 3 days on and 4 days off - 6am to 6pm. What you'll be doing: Responsible for the diagnostics, maintenance and repair of a number of electrical/ technical equipment, including but not limited to CNC machines, Cranes and remote control technology Liaising with external suppliers and contractors for materials and parts associated with both planned and reactive maintenance You will work safely at all times following Health, Safety and environmental policies and legislation Working alongside high voltage infrastructure under senior authorised personsEssential Skills: HNC in Electrical or relevant electrical/technical experience Experience working with and interrogating PLC's Experience of electronic testing, fault finding and repair Understanding of Technical Drawings and Manufacturing Instructions Maintenance background in an industrial environmentDesirable Skills: Experience in machine maintenance, CNC machines e.g. mills and lathes etc Previous experience working alongside high voltage infrastructure Experience of maintaining and repairs to building management systemsThe salary is £34,032 to £38,431 plus an excellent benefits package
