Electrical Harness & Power Supply Validation Engineer (736) Cranfield £30.78p/h  We are recruiting an Electrical Harness & Power Supply Validation Engineer for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield. You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company. This is a long-term contract role. The contract is on an ongoing basis a may run for several years. Key Responsibilities of Electrical Harness & Power Supply Validation Engineer: • To support the Electrical & Electronic (EE) Test team. • Power supply architecture reliability. • Circuit confirmation of electronic parts. • Layout confirmation of the wiring loom and harness parts on bench and in vehicle for functional, performance and reliability to Nissan design/test standards/specifications and regulatory requirements. • Creation of test plans to meet with project and design milestones. • Creation of testing procedures, confirmation of vehicle spec and test parts required for test, includes arrangement of vehicle transportation when required. • Overall vehicle test technical coordination role where required (project leader). • Formal reporting of test results to design sections and to upper management. • Root cause investigation and countermeasure recommendation. • Technical support to the production plant when necessary. • Field investigation support on occasion. • Some management of suppliers. Qualifications & Experience for the Electrical Harness & Power Supply Validation Engineer: • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. • Understand electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices. • Have fluent written and verbal English language capability. • Have Harness/EDS layout and application experience. • Be able to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections. • Be able to demonstrate and have practical experience in problem solving tools and techniques. • Experience of using automotive CAD tools. Hours & Pay for the Electrical Harness & Power Supply Validation Engineer: • Monday to Friday • 39 hours per week • £30.78p/h LMIND
