Job Description: The Electrical and Mechanical Technician will support all business areas by carrying out electrical installations, attending to plant breakdowns, and making process improvements. The successful candidate will have a manufacturing background and experience working in a fast-paced production environment with proven electrical and mechanical skills. Key Responsibilities: Adhere to and promote the highest standards of environmental health and safety at all times Service and maintain existing plant, equipment, and building facilities to ensure proper functionality Implement necessary improvements to the facility as required Assist the HSE Advisor in driving cost-saving initiatives Lead the installation and modification of new equipment to enhance operational efficiency Oversee safety system modifications to ensure compliance and personnel safety Manage the movement of various equipment, machinery, and product lines as needed Install or reconfigure services to support both existing and new equipment or processes Support the implementation of changes to manufacturing processes to improve productivity and quality Provide practical engineering support for all other activities requiring implementation assistance Develop work instructions for particular job tasks Initiate orders for upcoming or ongoing facilities or maintenance work projects Collaborate effectively with colleagues Apply advanced problem-solving techniques and work independently with a logical and systematic approach Prioritise breakdowns to minimise downtime throughout the operations Uphold a fast-paced, enthusiastic, and confident work ethic while maintaining composure under pressure Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a maintenance or engineering technical background Minimum qualification of 18th Edition electrically qualified Strong independent working skills demonstrated across electrical and mechanical disciplines Proficiency in working with machine controls (PLC, etc.), pneumatic or hydraulic systems Ideally, apprentice trained to City & Guilds level or above Capacity to understand a wide range of engineering functions and procedures for the relevant technology Ability to work cooperatively Strong technical engineering skills and practical knowledge, with a common-sense approach Self-confidence and ability to work independently, complemented by good team working skills Excellent communication skills Proficient in Microsoft 365
