Position: EDS CAD Mechanical Designer Sector: EV & Electrical Systems Location: Milton Keynes/hybrid Position Type: Contract Inside / Outside IR35: Outside IR35 I am currently recruiting on behalf of a world renowned formula one company based in Milton Keynes who are seeking an EDS CAD Mechanical Designer to join their team Job Description As EDS CAD Mechanical Designer your main responsibilities are: End-to-end design of the integration of electrical systems with regards to all Mechanical packaging Systems Engineering - Capturing and understanding the requirements, blue sky thinking, problem solving, electrical architecture, componentry selection, layout, and feasibility. Detail design - 3D CAD - Concept schemes, packaging 2D manufacturing - Drawings, build lists, BOM, supplier selection, costings, planning capture. Support - Physically validate the system, parts they have designed, support build, snag correction, fault investigation, easements, cost-downs, reworks instructions, reporting.Qualifications / Skills required To have a clear understanding of CAD and UG NX systems To maintain and control all CAD records and data in the support of project related work. Design and model components, system installations to customer satisfaction. To have a clear understanding of automotive electrical distribution systems, drawings and awareness of best in class systems that are available.
