ocation: Holyhead, Anglesey Salary: £37,635 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week) The Role: As a Deputy Team Leader, you'll take on a vital and impactful role at RAF Valley, driving maintenance operations to ensure aircraft readiness and operational efficiency. You'll oversee a team of 3 technicians and 2 supervisors, coordinating daily operations within the avionic component maintenance facility. Key Responsibilities: Allocate and supervise repair and maintenance tasks. Monitor progress and provide guidance to the team. Update records and documentation on component repairs and maintenance activities. Train and mentor junior technicians. Participate in meetings to discuss operational priorities and strategies. Report to the maintenance team leader on progress and issues encountered. Physical Requirements: Manual work including lifting avionic components, bending, and using tools. Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, between 0700 – 1700. Early finish available on Fridays. Essential Experience: Proven experience in avionics maintenance. Prior supervisory experience. Qualifications: Relevant degree, Higher National Diploma, Higher National Certificate, BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in engineering, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification/experience.
