Benefits:                Company Vehicle, Pension: 6% employer, 5% employee, 33 days holiday (including statutory), death in service 3x annual salary, company sick pay scheme, health care programme free onsite parking Location:           Halifax Contract:           Permanent full time Depot Manager Opportunity Senior role reporting directly into the Managing Director where you will have overall responsibility for the workshop operation with accountability for the following.   Ensuring the effective running of the workshop to proactively prepare specialist vehicles for customers.  Including all shotblasting, welding, fabrication, paint preparation, paint spraying, mechanical and quality checking throughout the department. Depot Manager duties  Responsibility for the management, recruitment, development and welfare of the workshop employees. Ensure Workshop practices are constantly reviewed, audited where required and revised where appropriate to achieve optimum levels of service, safety and efficiency. Accept accountability for the performance of Workshop operations and for the support, growth and development of the team. Identify opportunity for continual cost savings and efficiency improvements with recommended actions – in particular labour control, efficiency and productivity. Ensure all activities comply with company policy, protocols, procedures and H&S parameters. Ensuring jobs are completed on-time and accurately. Ensuring job cards are completed and clear records are retained. Ensuring all parts needed are proactively ordered to complete workshop jobs. Manage and monitor open job to ensure swift turnaround with 100% quality assurance. Provide quotations for accident or mechanical repairs and ensure proactively managed forward.  Depot Manager experience required   Currently in or been in a similar role within the HGV, Plant or specialist vehicle sector Knowledge of the automotive (Commercia vehicles) workshop environment Rental operation experience would be beneficial Nice to have but not essential – IOSHH, ISO 9001/14001, management qualification  If this Depot Manager role sounds of interest please apply to this advert with an updated copy of your CV
