Duties: General Engineering Technologists & Technicians support engineers in the design, modification, and improvement of products/processes. Activities include but are not limited to; * Identifying and recommending improvements/preventive actions, * inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and systems. * Monitor processes, estimates costs, makes or verifies calculations * Analyse and interpret data. * Tests new and modified products, processes, and/or systems. Responsibilities typically include: * Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. * Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. * Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex. Skills: * Experienced Damper Build Engineer with proven track record of producing bespoke / prototype damper specification builds in a range of different damper technologies. * Good IT skills, experience of running rating measurement equipment and processing results. * Background in Automotive, either OEM, supplier or motorsport/specialist businesses. * Position would be joining a team of build engineers working on a double day-shift pattern and so this would be expected. Education: * Minimum 2 years experience in the field, Automotive OEM prototype, supplier or motorsport/specialist. * Physical, hands-on experience is essential. * Engineering degree or other formal relevant training/education is desirable. * Must be willing to take part in a mechanical trial / skills test hand building a damper
