Are you an experienced Cyber Security consultant? Here at TXM Recruit, we are recruiting for a Cyber Security Manager to join a high-profile railway client on a contract basis up to 4 months. Pay rate of £500-£600 per day. This role a full time position working 5 days per week with one day in our office in Birmingham (ideally Thursdays). Key Accountabilities: Develop and maintain the cyber security strategy with a roadmap reflective of the everchanging security and technology landscape. Develop and maintain the requirements of the Information Security Minimum Standards Conducts threat intelligence and apply mitigations where actionable intelligence is identified. Develop and manage cyber incident response plans, reporting and testing. Maintain and update the internal incident response framework. Perform root cause analysis of security incidents and participate in post-incident reviews to provide practical recommendations for improving the organisations threat detection and incident response capabilities and overall security posture. Conduct regular risk assessments, audits and testing of the security infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary improvements. Develop detailed plans to assess and report on the business’ compliance with all IT Security requirements including, but not limited to, ISO27001, Network and Information Systems (NIS) Directive, and National Railways Security Programme (NRSP). Develop, implement and monitor a strategic, comprehensive Information Security, Cyber Security and IT Risk Management program to ensure that the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information is owned, controlled or processed by the business. What we require? Degree or acquired skills and knowledge via an extensive portfolio of practical experience in Cyber Security. Hold a security industry recognised qualification (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, etc.) Broad based technical knowledge covering all aspects of IT and OT infrastructure Understanding of information security principles including ISO 27001:2022 and NIS-D for an Operator of Essential Services /Critical National Infrastructure Understanding of Information Security and Data Protection laws and regulations Understanding of the IEC/62443 Standard and TS 50701 Understanding of Operational Technology Knowledge of Traction & Rolling Stock is desirable This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting, friendly, and fast paced team, delivering essential services.
