Expleo are seeking an Automotive Customer Focused Engineer in UX (User Experience), Switches and Controls, to work within a globally successful automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis. The successful Engineer will be required to conduct a number of market studies, investigating overall customer requirements, behaviours and latest technologies. Responsibilities of the Customer Focused Engineer include: * Define requirements from a customer's point of view * Establish customer target requirements, including, but not limited to In-vehicle-Infotainment systems, storage solutions, controls, switches & displays * Analyse European Automotive market trends and customer usage patterns * Produce Market / Trend / Engineering Test reports & Benchmark Reports * Create documentation in response to customer use cases and needs Background and experience required for the Customer Focused Engineer position: * You will ideally be degree educated * Experience within the Automotive Industry * Customer focused, with knowledge of European Driving & Car usage behaviour * Understanding of vehicle development and performance * Appreciation and knowledge of usability and ergonomic principles * Microsoft Office skills A full driving licence valid for driving in the UK is essential and flexibility to Travel is required, within the role of Customer Focused Engineer.
