Job title: Contract CNC Grinder Location: Wolverhampton Rate: £21.48ph (PAYE) Duration: 6 Months + Our client is looking to recruit a specialist CNC Grinder for the Military machining team. The CNC Grinder will be responsible for the set-up, oversight, first line maintenance and product quality output of Studer grinding machines, to achieve production volumes. Shift working will be required and some overtime may be required. Full training and support will be provided. Key Responsibilities: * Setting, operating and basic program / offset manipulation of ‘External Cylindrical’ CNC Grinders. * Use of integrated machine probe measurement systems. * Measurement systems and part validation. * Working with Manufacturing Engineers to introduce new equipment and parts and into the area. * Working to process layouts, work instructions and drawings. * Adherence to quality control and compliance systems. * Problem solving of basic technical issues. * Co-ordination of First Line Maintenance and TPM requirements. * Training - Development of personal skills and capabilities relevant to the Military machining area. * Carrying out all activities in accordance with the EH&S procedures. * Other cell duties as required, depending on workloads and flexibility needs. Person Specification: * CNC Grinder, setting and operating in a precision engineering environment. * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. * Apprentice trained (Preferred). * Studer experience preferred (Although not essential). * Attention to detail is essential
