Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for a Connected Car Validation Engineer to join our client's welcoming team in Cranfield. This contract role is for a 12-month contract and it comes with a contract rate of £27.00/hr (PAYE, Inside IR35). As a Connected Car Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for validating the connected car systems end-to-end from application to vehicle against specifications and regulatory requirements. You may also need to perform validation at component level at times. Please note that you can travel abroad, typically a few days to 2 weeks, but on rare occasions travel may be long-distance and or at short notice. In your first few weeks in this Connected Car Validation Engineer role, you can expect to: Raise incident tickets in the incident management system and track them through to closure Develop testing methods and procedures that comply with specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure robust validation of the complete telematics systems Confirm vehicle level quality, function and reliability standards are maintained by the changes you will be validating Conduct root cause investigation of complex concerns with the stakeholders. You will also require the following: Relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic development relating to vehicle body electronics, navigation or telematics systems, e.g., in aerospace, telecoms or similar Knowledge of the electrical architecture of modern vehicle electronics and experience of fault finding A good awareness of the connected car system onboard and offboard.
