Peacock Sourcing Limited are currently recruiting for Configuration Technician to work for their well established client based in Cwmbran. In this role you will join a well established team of specialised Configuration Technicians that form the core personnel of the factory. As a Configuration Technician you will be responsible for fault finding and testing the functionality of the final product using a wide variety of computerised equipment. As a Configuration Technician there is a key focus on quality and adaptability, therefore as a Configuration Technician you will be expected to work to the highest quality standards and be good at problem solving. Working Hours 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday 37.5hrs a week Daily unpaid breaks 2x 15 mins and 1x 30 min break Pay £18.50 per hour - (Overtime is double pay) Duties: * Systems installation * Testing product functionality with computer-based equipment * Comparing computer-based test results * Fault finding * Recording data to the main drive * Using specialized equipment Experience: * Experience in coding would be beneficial * Experience troubleshooting builds of products such as computers or large items would be beneficial * Experience in embedded programming is beneficial * An understanding of computer languages would be advantageous * Electrical and software experience * Fault finding and investigations on existing products. * Any knowledge in the aviation industry would be advantageous. * Previous non-destructive testing experience would be advantageous. This is a 6 month contract with a high likelihood of extending as the business is rapidly expanding and ramping up production over the course of the year.
