Recruit Central are recruiting for a Compliance and Facility Support Engineer based in Stafford. There lots of new and exciting projects coming through, 5000 series, NPI for both diesel and gas programs.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicants must be flexible as the role involves working on a wide variety of projects within a small multi skilled team. Diesel Engine Performance and Emissions data analysis Organising and progressing actions arising from weekly production hot test meeting with the Aurangabad (AEC) and Stafford (SEC) hot test teams. Failure analysis and defect resolution using industry-standard methods to advise teams on required actions and to address test related issues Initial review and approval of all production test related deviation requests from AEC and SEC in line with best engineering practice. New product introduction issue team leadership using 8D methodology to develop plans to resolution, including running team meetings and developing engineering solutions to deliver ECA, ICA and PCA solutions. Develop knowledge of global product regulatory requirements for 4000/5000 products leveraging the expertise of corporate subject matter experts. Own the demonstration of regulatory compliance in the new product introduction (NPI) process, including the preparation and presentation of the associated design review and gateway material. Provide support to performance and emissions, and validation engineering team leads as necessary for the delivery of NPI deliverables. Technical reporting including presenting of findings in engineering reviews, NPI gateways and in written reports. Conducting all work to our operating procedures and local work methods to meet required quality standards. Support to the design function through FMEA attendance. The role will require collaboration teams based in the UK, India and USA. Occasional overseas travel may be necessary as required by business needs. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Essential: Engineering Degree or other equivalent qualification/experience Experience in engine Performance and Emissions data analysis and reporting Problem solving tools such as 8D Product development processes such as FMEA and DVP&R Engineering project team leadership, including planning and organisation Ability to initiate action and make decisions Some knowledge of worldwide off-highway diesel emission regulations, emissions measurement techniques and emissions measurement hardware. Knowledge of diesel engine control systems. Understanding of the function of diesel engine components and systems (e.g. fuel systems, lubrication, air systems) and how they interact. Competent in the use of all MS Office components and MS Project Advanced skills in MS Excel Working knowledge of Power BI High standard of communication through presentations and written technical reporting Desirable: Detailed knowledge of worldwide off-highway diesel and gas engine emissions regulations. Experience in engine performance and emissions calibration development or durability validation Experience in using CANAPE Experience in using Osiris high speed data capture Core working hours (Hybrid): Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm  Friday 8am-1pm.
