Job Purpose: This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work as part of the Contracts and Commercial team supporting the Actuation Systems business within Collins Aerospace. The successful candidate will support multiple sites in both the pursuit of new aftermarket contracts and the management of existing contracts with an international portfolio of major military and civil customers. This support will involve contract drafting, negotiations, providing training to the business including the Business Development team on contractual clauses, researching and providing guidance on legal queries, creating customer contracts and other related documents to provide strategic advantage while meeting contractual obligations. The role will span the product life cycle including technology agreements, export control agreements, bid support, product development, manufacture and support contracting Key Responsibilities: * Provide day-to-day advice and counsel, support and guidance to the business and its management in respect of contractual and legal matters, taking a solution focused approach to business problems and providing a risk based analysis of options available. * Be responsible for leading the drafting, presentation, negotiation and management of new agreements and contract clauses in line with Corporate guidelines * Conduct risk and opportunity analysis of contractual terms, specifically identifying any high risk terms and advising the business and its management of the impact of these both commercially and legally. * Assistance to and provision of information to negotiations and decision making requiring escalation for resolution. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to corporate process and approval of contracts ensuring wider sensitivity to contractual matters within the business * Where disputes over contract terms arise, providing initial advice and any on-going support to the business and its management in terms of interpretation of contractual requirements. * As part of the Aftermarket Services management team, work with the Business Development team to ensure that appropriate contractual and wider legal provisions are considered in business cases. * Providing contracts and legal support to multi-functional teams * Continuous improvement of business processes Experience & Skills: * Degree qualified in Law or Business Management or have other equivalent experience * Experienced within contract drafting and providing general legal advice and support * Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential as are good preparation and planning skills. * Strong analytical skills and methodical approach together with good problem solving and negotiation ability * Good stakeholder management skills * Ideally have Aerospace knowledge (products, processes, manufacturing techniques, quality requirements) * Experience of both civil and military aerospace contracting * Be flexible and willing to travel and to work flexible hours to support communication across different time zones About Us Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
