Impactful Work: Contribute to the production of critical aerospace components that meet the highest industry standards.Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Planning, Quality, and other teams on New Product Introduction (NPI) to develop manufacturing methods tailored to customer designs, including prototypes and repeat work. Program, set, and operate CNC Mill/Turn machines, along with other machines in the Turning area, ensuring production of components to exact specifications, with typical tolerances of +/- .001” (0.025mm) and occasional tolerances of +/- .0005” (0.0125 mm). Record accurate job timings within the Company’s ERP system, Javelin, ensuring seamless operations. Uphold 6S standards on the shop floor, maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, from minor process tweaks to major re-engineering efforts.Who We’re Looking For We seek a skilled Metallic Machinist with the following qualifications: Experience: Previous aerospace experience or in a similar engineering sector is essential. Technical Skills: Proficient in offline programming of CMZ Mill/Turn machines and Takisawa CNC Turning machines using Fanuc controls. Materials Knowledge: Familiarity with a range of materials, including Stainless Steel, Nylon, Titanium, Inconel, and Aluminium, adhering to stringent tolerances. Training: Either apprentice-trained or qualified by experience.
