A Chief Inspection Engineer position has become available within a well-established organisation that manufacturers high precision machined components for various industries. You will be reporting to the Quality Manager and become an integral part of the team. In return, you'll receive a competitive salary, 33 days of annual leave, training, support and progression. Chief Inspection Engineer duties include - Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of components during first-off and final inspections. Inspect products and verify certifications during goods receipt. Maintain records related to inspection activities. Prepare inspection reports. Oversee QC team. Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with AS9102 standards. Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).We'd love to hear from you if you have the following - Proficient in accurately interpreting customer drawings and specifications. Well-versed in manufacturing route cards and process instructions. Experience in inspection procedures to determine product dimensions and tolerances. Skilled in using various standard measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, shadowgraphs and hard gauging. Have experience in operating CMMs Ideally be able to program the CMMs using Aberlink or a similar software - training will be provided. Capable of performing inspection activities with minimal supervision and effectively working as part of a team.Quality Inspector benefits include - Salary up to £42,000 33 days annual leave.
