A leading premium automotive business that are leading the transition towards electric autonomous vehicles. WHAT TO EXPECT We are recruiting for an accomplished Charging ECU Requirements Engineer. This individual will be creating the next generation of charging systems to be used in our Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. You will be responsible for the End-to-End system engineering activities from customer Requirements input analysis to the business to Test case integration for charging system hardware. In this role you will be responsible for project specific designs, change management and robust charging system requirements development and management, collaborating closely with internal teams, including hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and system integration specialists, to define electronic system requirements and specifications. You will generate component requirements, based on features lists and cascaded system requirements and attributes. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities In this position you will drive the architecture, design, and implementation of electronic hardware, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will conduct detailed analysis, simulation, and testing of electronic circuits and components to optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency. Continuous optimization of the requirement processes, the review processes and the associated configurations Analysis and presentation of the maturity of requirements for relevant project milestones, including the derivation of recommendations for action in the project team. Proactively identify and address product design issues that adversely affect production or product operation. Gathering and analysing all requirements systematically to a qualitative system engineering process, structure and standard. Evaluation, refinement and development of electronics component design Planning and executing design reviews in alignment to key project milestone points, especially with external project relevant suppliers. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Knowledge, Skills and Experience We are looking for a Requirements Engineer whose experience has been focused on Electronics Hardware. Essential Proven track record in electronics design, with a focus on hardware design and development preferably within the automotive or electric vehicle industry Proven technical knowledge related to charging systems (requirements, stakeholders) Experience using requirement management tools (DOORs & TRM) Knowledge of all relevant vehicle legislation and certification requirements for automotive HV Distribution, DC-DC converters and on-vehicle charging systems and their integration Familiar with Electronics development full life cycle experience of at least two products SO WHY US?
