Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a leading highly regulated manufacturer based in Sheffield, who are looking to recruit a highly experienced CAD/CAM Engineer to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business at an exciting time of growth and work on some highly innovative engineering projects for multiple highly regulated industries. As the CAD / CAM Engineer you will be: Generate CAD/CAM programs (inc. stage drawings, tool packs, tool sheets, program manuals) for all projects using current software (Siemens NX & Solidworks) Complete CAM simulation (using Vericut) to provide program verification prior to prove out on machine Provide programming support for Laser cutting (Trumpf) drilling (LASERSOFT), 5 axis grinding, EDM, CMM (PCDMIS) Support engineering change control throughout the business Identify and implement productivity improvement ideas with continuous improvement/problem solving initiatives To support initiatives to maximize productivity through the achievement of operational standard hours Support project teams on NPDI, P1 and CI project work. Creation and amendment of controlled production documentation and systems (parts master, BOM, Routings, SOP’s) Review and approval of new or updated customer specifications and drawings To be considered for the CAD / CAM Engineer role you will need: At least 5 years experience in similar industry with particular understanding of manual and CNC turning and milling using DNC outputs – Essential Extensive experience with Siemens NX6-12 & Solidworks – Essential; (Solidworks is Desirable) Extensive experience using Vericut simulation software – Essential Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with engineering, technical and operational positions in Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.
