Job Title: Buyer Location: Wolverhampton Pay Rate: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week - hybrid after initial training Contract: 6-month contract Job Description: The Buyer is a pivotal role responsible for maintaining efficient communication with suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries, and proactively addressing any disruptions to minimise internal line stops. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented individual who approaches tasks and problems methodically while demonstrating a commitment to task completion and the establishment of a productive stakeholder network at all levels. Job Responsibilities: Manage the order book for various suppliers Create and revise purchase/scheduled orders Resolve invoice discrepancies and issue RFQs Provide critical updates on delivery status to key internal stakeholders Negotiate with and manage costs for suppliers in support of commodity strategy, business financial performance, and cost reduction goals Facilitate stakeholder reviews and action plans to support change management and transfer programsSkills & Attributes: Supply chain management expertise Confidence in handling difficult conversations with external and internal stakeholders Knowledge of SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) Proficiency in data analysis Excellent communication and organisation skills Does this sound like the perfect opportunity for you?
