An end to end purchasing role within a large procurement function, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer to manage a specific commodity area across a global remit. Fantastic working culture with lots of progression opportunities. Hybrid working environment.  Duties: Coordination for supplier nomination and long term strategies within a chosen functiongroup. Life cycle responsibility and autonomy for delivering high quality, value for money components  Accountability for cost and budget management for spend portfolios. Executing sourcing strategy Responsible for supplier reduction within your function group. Supplier sourcing and nomination approval in line with programme or business requirements. Monitor contractual agreements with suppliers. Deliver annual cost down targets through commercial and VA/VE methods. Develop strong long term relationships with suppliers to deliver value. Develop detailed and intelligent category strategies that align with the organisation's commercial and technology roadmap Skillset Requirements:  Proven commercial success / strong negotiator. Previous manufacturing / automotive experience desirable but not essential. Ability to lead negotiations Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills
