Buyer - Automotive Manufacturing  Are you a commercially astute Buyer with experience in the automotive sector and a passion for supplier development and strategic sourcing? A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking a Buyer to join its Telford-based team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, high-performing procurement function. You'll be responsible for supporting both direct and indirect commodity strategies, working closely with internal teams and a global supplier base to maximise value and drive supplier performance. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage supplier performance in line with group and plant strategies Support the implementation of procurement strategies, including negotiations and contract compliance Develop supplier relationships and ensure alignment with category strategies Build detailed knowledge of supply markets and proactively manage sourcing activities Report on supplier performance and governance, driving improvements where necessary Contribute to group-wide deals and value delivery as part of a high-performing procurement team Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational standards Provide training and guidance to suppliers on key processes and policies What You Bring: Experience in automotive procurement, ideally with project or programme management exposure Strong understanding of press tooling and assembly purchasing Proven experience working with international suppliers, particularly in China Familiarity with QAFs and data analysis MCIPS qualified or working towards qualification Any engineering qualifications are a plus Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Previous experience with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers You Are: A confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills Results-driven, action-oriented, and able to operate with urgency Strategic in approach with a hands-on mentality Committed to continuous improvement and high standards Honest, reliable, and a true team player This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking company at the forefront of the automotive industry.
