Business Development Manager- Aerospace This is an opportunity to work autonomously and join a leading engineering consultancy in the midlands who collaborate with customers from some of the largest global organisations across multiple sectors for propulsion and drive technologies. The Role The company work across industry sectors however this role will ideally be focused around the Aerospace side of the business. Do you enjoy working on fast-paced projects, applying your engineering knowledge to a wide variety of technologies and applications and challenging yourself? As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing business opportunities with new and existing customers throughout the UK, mainland Europe and key regions in Asia. Developing long term mutually beneficial strategic relationships within designated key accounts and sectors will be a key capability. Key Responsibilities * Lead the creation of compelling bids and proposals, in conjunction with our engineering teams * Pro-active pitching of our products and services * Negotiating contracts and commercials terms * Achieving sales targets across diverse accounts * Overseeing, on occasion, delivery teams and being the customer voice * Assuring the newly won projects are successfully progressed * Generating and maintaining successful relationships with customers and key accounts, with focus in specific sectors, territories, and customer accounts * Desire to engage customers via worldwide, short and long-haul travel and via all other channels in a pro-active and compelling manner * Researching organisations, sectors, territories and individuals to identify appropriate new leads and potential new clients * Developing the our brand by attending conferences, meetings and industry events * Developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with peers and technical leaders * Identifying key market trends that influence our R&D strategies and technology roadmaps * Participate in activities to share technical knowledge and know-how across the business * Present and communicate technical and commercial information, clearly and concisely, both internally and to customers * Generate and maintain relationships with customers at an appropriate level * Potential for worldwide, short and long-haul travel
