Up to £20.68 per hour plus overtime paid at a 20% enhancement on your salary. 39 hour week Monday to Friday (day shift) with flexible start and finish times.  Great career prospects with the UK’s leading bus operator with services connecting more than 100 major towns and cities in England, Scotland and Wales.Our client, the UK’s leading bus operator, are currently looking to hire an experienced Bus/Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Chargehand/Supervisor to manage their Gloucester workshop. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as our client's Bus/PSV Workshop Chargehand/Supervisor your key objectives will include: Day to day oversight of the workshop facilities ensuring work is correctly allocated and completed within the recommended time frame.  Supervising a team of Maintenance/Service Fitters, Coach Builders, Electricians, Cleaners/Shunters, Clerks, stores personnel and contractors Help repair and maintain our client's fleet of over 400 modern buses and coaches to a high standard including Dennis Eagle, Volvo and Optare. Carrying out preventative and proactive maintenance in line with our client's policies. Responsibilty for our client's premises, plant and equipment. Adhering to Health & Safety policies.In order to be eligible you will have a good working technical knowledge of large, commercial vehicles (ideally bus/PSV) and also be comfortable motivating and managing other engineering team members. You need to have an engineering background with a vehicular focus and a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent – bus, HGV/LGV, truck, haulage, automotive, plant, rail, farm. If it moves, it’s good experience! You will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Applicants with an active HGV or PSV driving licence would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential.  What's in it for you?
