Bodyshop Technical Team Leader JOB PURPOSE The role of the Bodyshop Technical Team Leader is to: è Manage the process of optimising workshop resources to meet agreed departmental budgets. è Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the department. Bodyshop Technical Team Leader Department/Business/Location: Workshop Reports to: Bodyshop General Manager KEY RESPONSIBILITIES è Calculate and manage the effective use of workshop resources for the business. è Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met. è Plan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mix. è Identify individual training and development needs through coaching and support. è Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress. è Manage workshop standards in accordance with brand standards requirements. è Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of manufacturer service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators. è Maintain and develop own skills and technical knowledge. è Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards of the business. è Drive efficiency in the workshop è Road test with customers to establish faults è Fault finding with workshop è Right First Time asking the correctly technical questions è Help with warranty process and job cards è Conduct morning meeting to review jobs and direct changes to improve first time fix è To drive NPS è To be 50% productive and 50% people manager è Final Quality Control Sign off of all workshop jobs Skills & Requirements Essential: è MET Technician background è Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT è Good organisational and leadership skill with the ability to delegate and motivate the team. è Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure. è Full UK driving licence. è Smart appearance/workshop wear
