I'm working with one of the worlds leading Aerospace & Defence organisations who are looking for Bid Manager to work with some of their biggest international customers. This is a hybrid-working role of 3 days per week in the office in Portsmouth and 2 days per week at home. There is also some international travel required as part of the role which is once per quarter to the Middle East. What you'll be doing: Leading on bid programme opportunities, encompassing Win Strategy, Price to Win, Solution and the bid governance management plan (life cycle management) Developing business cases Directing the Bid Programme, forming, developing, and leading a high performing capture team to develop the solution(s) and deliver high quality bid/proposal(s) Leading the customer requirement influencing strategy, requirement interpretation and solution option generation Leading stakeholder management at all appropriate levels across multiple organisations Defining customer relationship management strategy Utilising customer review data to truly understand customer perceptions and support capture activity Ensuring smooth handovers to Project Manager for delivery phaseEssential Skills: Extensive International Business Winning experience and a deep understanding of business winning behaviours, processes, procedures and industry best practice in a competitive environment Considerable experience in leading, managing and delivering strategically important and high value Bid Programmes internationally Considerable experience of engaging senior stakeholders, particularly customers, and the ability to build mutually beneficial relationships Takes ownership for own tasks, defining own and team objectives Works on own initiative with responsibility for deliveryDesirable Skills: Practical experience with government defence acquisition agencies, both UK and international Several years' experience of managing business winning teamsThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager that has a background in dealing with large and complex bids with corporate/international organisations. The salary is £70-80,000 plus £6,000 car allowance and 12.5% bonus
