Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for full time Bandsaw Operatives to join our specialist metal stockholder client who offer career progression and continuous development! *FLT experience is advantageous, previous experience operating bandsaws is essential* Job role responsibilities: Checking the dimensions and spec of each material before cutting Checking against plans and drawings to cut to size Cutting parts within tolerances using equipment Programme bandsaw Labelling each cut with stamp and lot number Daily maintenance checks on bandsaw Ensure all orders packaged correctly and safely Operating fork trucks when required Manual lifting up to 20kgs Completing relevant paperwork when required Hours and pay: Days: Monday-Thursday 6am-2.30pm & Friday 6am-10am Afters: Monday-Thursday 1.30pm-10pm & Friday 2pm-6pm £11.50ph starting rate, increasing once taken on permanent and passing probationary period Benefits (once taken on permanent):  Matched pension continuation up to 6% (after qualifying period) Death in service benefits for dependants (after a qualifying period, and subject to pension membership) Virtual 24/7 GP service (subject to pension membership) Occupational sick pay benefits after completion of probation period 33 days holiday (25 + 8 bank holidays) raising to 36 days holiday after 5 years full service (28 + 8 bank holidays) Corporate uniform provided, including safety boot allowance Next steps Hit apply and one of the Thorn Baker team will be in touch within 24 hours.
