Job Title: Aviation Trials Management Officer - Typhoon Location: Coningsby, Lincoln Package: Highly Competitive Salary + Benefits Package Role Type: Full-time / Permanent Role ID: SF15849 Join us as an Aviation Trials Management Officer - Typhoon at RAF Coningsby where you will play a crucial role in managing all Typhoon trial activities and supporting industry personnel in the wider Typhoon Development Programme. The Role As an Aviation Trials Management Officer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, working alongside MOD Typhoon fast jets in a dynamic environment with a range of industry partners. Day-to-Day, you'll: You'll provide high-level stakeholder engagement, including MOD and industry partners in the Typhoon programme, to deliver successful test outcomes. You'll also provide leadership and a technical interface between subject matter experts to facilitate the safe, effective and efficient delivery of Typhoon trials. You'll manage the design, planning, execution and reporting of Typhoon flight and ground trials. Identifying opportunities to broaden the provision of trials data, including through synthetic Test & Evaluation. This role is full-time 37-hours per week, based onsite at RAF Coningsby, Lincoln. Occasional travel required to other QinetiQ, MOD and stakeholder sites within the UK. Some opportunities may arise for travel overseas. Essential Experience of the Aviation Trials Management Officer We welcome candidates with a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. You'll need a genuine interest in aviation, reflected in previous experience throughout your career. You'll also need leadership experience. You'll need an aptitude to learn and take on and bring this together, innovative, forward thinking and bring other view. Qualifications of the Aviation Trials Management Officer You'll need a relevant degree (such as aerospace or systems engineering). You'll also need experience in the conduct of aviation test and evaluation as well as technical evaluations. You'll also need a demonstrable understanding of Typhoon, weapon and avionics systems as well as trials processes.
