Air Personnel are looking for a Aviation Stores Supervisor to join a client based at Kidlington Airport The client operates, maintains, refurbishes and charter aircraft from their base at Oxford airport. The right candidate will need to be adaptable, proactive, confident and conscientious. They’ll need to be computer literate, capable of carrying out physical tasks including lifting, have a positive attitude and be able to operate on their own initiative as well as provide leadership to colleagues. You will have to be good at communicating and carry out tasks and duties, timely and efficiently. You'll need a satisfactory level of Maths and English, be able to find solutions to unforeseen problems and when necessary report operational issues immediately and constructively. Hours of work: The candidate will be required to operate between 08:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday on a weekly split shift pattern, providing cover for their colleagues when necessary. Requirements: The successful candidate will need a full, clean driving license and will be required to pass a CBS check. Responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to the following: • Provides supervision of stores operations. • Ensures the processing of stock and management of tools, materials and equipment using the relevant IT systems (Aerotrack). • Procure and place orders on behalf of the company to support customer operational requirements. • Expedite open orders to achieve on-time delivery. • Manage AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations effectively and in a speedy manner. • Manage equipment levels of relevant parts to minimise interruptions to maintenance and repair projects. • Leads, manages, and submits stock counts periodically and maintains records of all stock locations and non-stock items. • Maintain inventory levels, procurement of goods and determining the best prices and lead times. • Perpetual inventory management through FIFO and stock counting. • Interfacing with customers directly and partner companies including responding to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone in relation to stock, delivery, and operational service matters. • Scheduling and sending tools for calibration/maintenance. Taking business decisions on buy/rent options for specialist tooling. • Organising training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress including recurrent training. • Ensure effective channels of communication at all levels so every member of the team is aware of the customer requirements and objectives and the part they play in the successful delivery of these requirements. • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals are stored safely and compliantly.
