Aviation Software Safety Assurance Engineer   Our client is a leading aviation contractor within global defence markets. As the Demand for our clients’ services continue to grow, we are looking to further expand their Software Assurance teams. Supporting software delivery across multiple projects and locations around the UK, you will be part of a team that provides Independent Technical Assessment of the software of safety critical/related aircraft systems and provide advice on airworthiness issues related to those systems. Working on the latest military platforms (i.e Typhoon), you will be key to the assessment of third-party software and/or software documentation for adequate safety and conformance to standards. Regardless of your industry background we are interested in hearing from you. Your working experience does not need to be MOD specific. If your knowledge comes from other industries such as Aviation/Aerospace, Nuclear, Rail or Medical, we are keen to explore your potential.   Qualifications & Experience: Degree level qualifications in a software or relevant discipline. Software assurance. Safety critical code. Software development lifecycle. Complex electronic hardware. Keen interest in aviation. NB. Due to the nature of this position you must be eligible to obtain a high level of Security Clearance. To qualify, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV.
