Role: Automotive Supply Chain Manager Contract: Permanent Location: Westminster London - hybrid flexible with some UK travel Salary: £47,500 plus company performance bonus up to 7.5% of salary We have an exciting opportunity to join a thriving organisation as their Automotive Supply Chain Manager. This role will be reporting into the Head of Supply Chain. The role will involve supporting development and delivery of supply chain projects, as well as account managing key member accounts in the automotive manufacturing supply chain sector, including dealing with Tier 1 suppliers. You will be heavily involved in supporting their high growth areas in improving supply chain digitalisation and sustainability. It is expected in time as you grow within your role, you will take ownership of your role in creating and leading projects, and ultimately work towards becoming a thought leader and expert in your field long term. This is an exciting opportunity to add value to automotive and engineering member businesses in the UK and internationally, which means your role would require travelling to meetings and events in the UK regularly, predominately in the Midlands region. As an employer they operate a flexible hybrid policy, with only Tuesdays as a weekly mandatory office based day for all. The successful candidate will have had experience working in the automotive sector or in a similar manufacturing discipline, with a strong understanding of supply chain networks and logistic challenges. Role and responsibilities: * As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be supporting in the development and implementation of the organisation and industry body Councils supply chain projects * Manage activities around supply chain digitalisation and sustainability * Assist in the development and management of membership engagement, recruitment and retention campaigns targeted at manufacturing supply chain and logistics companies * Support on UK and EU activities and coordinate implementation of relevant standards and recommendations such as Odette * Work closely with internal management to develop and grow committee activities * Work alongside the EV Supply Chain Manager and Components Supply Chain Manager * Develop and maintain key relationships with supply chain members offering first class support and maximising member satisfaction and retention * Develop knowledge of key accounts and profiles to understand their business needs and challenges in particular around digitalisation and sustainability * Create and deliver reports on supply chain, automotive industry trends or key developments etc * Act as a brand ambassador raising the company profile by attending and speaking at trade shows and industry networking events or Expos * Manage activities relating to the industry leading forums such as organising 3 annual Committees meetings, inviting members, minute taking and ensuring actions are followed Skills and experience required: * Industry experience in automotive, manufacturing, supply chain and/or logistics essential * Ability to understand business issues and metrics including basic business finance * Account management experience desirable * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal at all levels * Confident dealing with senior executives of large corporate organisations * Diplomatic, articulate, persuasive and confident networker * Ability to multitask and prioritise projects Benefits: * Annual bonus up to 7.5% of salary * Pension employee contribution 5% employer contribution 7% * Health benefits such as health screenings, flu vaccinations and eyecare * Enhanced health insurance package * Life assurance * Private medical insurance through Vitality * Discounted tube / rail season tickets * Access to retail and hospitality discounts, cashback and savings offers * 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays If you are an experienced professional who has worked in Automotive or Manufacturing in Supply Chain, Logistics, Sustainability and seeking a opportunity to join an established business, during a period of ambitious growth then please apply today
