Are you a skilled mechanic with a keen interest in working within a vehicle manufacturing facility ensuring vehicle defects are identified, rectified and issues reduced in the future? ASL Technical are working with a leading manufacturer of niche vehicles, based in Surrey, who are keen to grow their team with the introduction of a PDI vehicle technician. Main Purpose of PDI Vehicle Technician The core responsibility of the PDI Vehicle Technician is to work within the production facility carrying our test / pdi inspections to ensure all vehicles meet customers' expectations. At end of line, ensure vehicles are completed ready for delivery at the pre-determined date. Take personal responsibility for maintaining the high standards of process and product quality supporting the Company's Quality Management System. As an additional responsibility, the successful candidate with be responsible for delivery of  vehicles for their IVA inspections when required, this will on occasions involve working outside of core hours and require you to have a clean licence and ideally LGV / HGV. Do you have the required experience for the PDI Vehicle Technician Ideally worked within a dealership environment completing new vehicle checks, although vehicle inspection in an aftermarket of vehicle repair industry will be seriously considered. Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic of electrical systems is desirable as is good communication skills. Apprenticeship in an engineering or vehicle maintenance and repair environment would be favourable, although all levels of vehicle based experience will be considered. As the role will involve driving LGV / HGV, a valid clean licence is preferred although training may be offered.
