Are you an experienced Automotive Project Manager with an interest in high performance cars. ASL Technical are now working with a leading Sportscar Manufacturer who are looking to engage a contract engineer to work with their supplier to deliver a limited run very high performance race car for the road. Purpose of the role: Working closely at a supplier facility near Northampton, the successful candidate will be representing this Global Sports Car manufacturer to ensure a limited run high performance car is built to the exacting standards required. This function of the Project Manager role is to play a key part in many key areas of the product development and production phase of a limited run high performance sportscar. These will include Design reviews, Production build quality reviews, Material quality standards and the fault management analysis. Principal Accountabilities: Vehicle Production Development – Quality fault reduction in the new design using lessons learned and previous model quality data, to reduce customer quality concerns Faults Management Coordination process Management of the fault allocation meetings to deliver robust solutions. Development of component and whole vehicle quality standards, working together with both engineering and supplier quality teams Ensure holistic project planning and alignment across the relevant quality functions Requirements: Ideally degree qualified in a relevant subject such as Automotive / Motorsport Engineering with Project Management and an understanding of quality processes. Ideally you will also have experience of: Comprehensive knowledge of automotive or motorsport manufacturing. 8D or Practical Problem Solving (PPS) New product development experience in the Automotive Industry Statistical Analysis (SPC). Project management of cross functional working groups.
