Responsibilities: - Install insulation materials in residential and commercial buildings - Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas - Apply insulation materials using various techniques such as stapling, taping, or gluing - Seal gaps and cracks to prevent air leakage - Install vapor barriers and fireproofing materials as required - Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when working with insulation materials - Clean up work area and dispose of waste materials properly Skills: - Proficient in using power tools such as drills, saws, and staple guns - Knowledge of different insulation materials and their applications (e.g., fiberglass, foam, cellulose) - Ability to read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine insulation requirements - Experience with plastering, welding, or masonry work is a plus - Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to insulate around wiring - Basic knowledge of painting techniques for touch-ups or finishing work - Ability to fabricate custom insulation pieces as needed - Knowledge of roofing systems and insulation methods for roofs Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
