Automotive Finance Apprentice Ginetta is an exciting and dynamic company that has grown to become one of the most significant players on the global motorsport scene. Based in Leeds, Ginetta has been building British road and race cars since 1958. In 2005, the company was purchased by LNT Group, which consists of Healthcare, Construction, Chemicals, Automotive and Software companies, under the guidance of Chairman and founder Lawrence Tomlinson. Since then, ‘The British Motorsport Company’ has enjoyed rapid expansion; scaling up production to support global exports, running multiple successful domestic championships and expanding its offering with supporting brands including Want2race, Blyton Park and Sim Track. Overview of Role: * The role will have key responsibility in managing the day-to-day finance activities and supporting the Financial Controller to ensure that the Automotive Division maintains accurate financial records, financial transactions are promptly and accurately processed, and high-quality financial information is provided to the business in a timely manner. The role will also require building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as external clients. Key Responsibilities: * Produce all sales invoices and sales orders in a timely manner * Work closely with colleagues in the wider business to gather the information required for invoicing and payment terms agreed * Ensuring that customer balances are paid on time by generating weekly statements and chasing outstanding debt in an appropriate manner * Maintaining and reviewing of aged debtors reporting by producing an analysis of outstanding money and categorising them by outstanding periods * Completion of daily bank reconciliations * Be the first point of contact for the Finance team in respect of answering customer telephone and email queries * Control over company credit card reconciliations, ensuring these are completed and signed off on a monthly basis * Filing and administrative duties * Ad-hoc administrative and transactional duties to assist the Financial Controller Person Specification: * Diligent * Organised * Friendly, polite, and professional * Have a flexible and adaptable approach to work * Approachable and helpful * Able to work on own and as part of a team * Keen to learn, progress and open to training through AAT/CIMA Skills/Qualifications: * Knowledge of Sage 200 and Xero preferred * Knowledge of Excel * Ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels * Able to prioritise work based on deadlines and importance * Attention to detail in all aspects of role – consistently produces work to the highest standard We are looking for someone enthusiastic, flexible, and wanting to begin their career in finance at this junior level.
