Our client is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join their team as an Assistant Technician. As an assistant, you will work closely with the head tech to assist in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of vehicles. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about cars to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a dynamic work environment, working on mid to high-end cars, with a highly experiences head tech you can learn a lot from. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing vehicle issues and performing repairs as needed. 2. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, changing tyres and fluid checks. 3. Help with the disassembly and reassembly of vehicle components during repair jobs. 4. Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency. 5. Learn and follow company procedures and safety guidelines at all times. 6. Assist in conducting vehicle inspections to identify potential problems or areas for improvement. 7. Aid in the ordering and stocking of parts and supplies as necessary. 8. Provide excellent customer service by addressing all inquiries and concerns professionally. Qualifications: 1. A keen interest in automotive mechanics and a desire to learn and develop new skills. 2. Level 1 Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance. 3. Basic understanding of automotive systems and components. 4. Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions effectively. 5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. 6. Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues 7. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects. 8. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred).
