Benefits for the successful Assistant Service Manager will include: Basic salary up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and current earnings On-target earnings of approximately £40,000 per year, subject to achieving customer service scores and labour sales targets 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days with length of service Workplace pension scheme Staff purchase discounts on cars, parts, servicing, and labour Manufacturer-accredited training programmes Expenses paid for bi-annual staff events such as summer and Christmas parties Achievement events and team meals Long-term career development within a reputable dealer group with over 60 years of industry experienceDuties as an Assistant Service Manager: Assist in managing a busy service department, reporting directly to the Service Manager Oversee and motivate a large service team to deliver excellent customer service Ensure the efficient operation of the service reception, including customer bookings and needs Maximise workshop utilisation and labour sales, contributing to departmental performance Support and organise departmental processes and administration Work on the front desk as needed, handling customer enquiries and bookings Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency Collaborate with the team to meet volume throughput targets, which typically include 80 vehicles daily and approximately 7 recoveries per day Assist with staff training and ongoing professional developmentRequirements for the Assistant Service Manager will include: Proven experience as a Senior Service Advisor, Assistant Service Manager, or similar role within a dealership environment Familiarity with high-volume service operations, ideally within a dealership setting Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment Full UK driving licence, preferably with minimal points Living within a commutable distance to Cardiff or nearby area Demonstrated leadership and team management skills A professional attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer serviceThis is a well-supported role within a respected organisation, offering excellent scope for progression and development.
