Air Personnel are working with a fantastic aviation client in Aberdeen for the role of AOC Aviation Auditor As an Aviation Auditor specialising in both Operations and Engineering, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency within our aviation operations. You will conduct thorough audits of operational procedures, engineering practices, and regulatory compliance to uphold industry standards and organizational objectives. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations, operational protocols, and engineering principles to effectively assess and enhance our aviation operations. Must have a background in Aviation Engineering or Flight Operations, be a good communicator, have a broad understanding of aviation regulations, experience in conducting auditing both internally and externally, and be expected to travel within the region. Duties: * Perform detailed audits of aviation operations and engineering processes to assess compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards. * Evaluate operational procedures, flight planning, crew training, and maintenance activities to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to regulations and safety protocols. * Assess engineering designs, maintenance procedures, modification processes, and quality control measures to verify compliance with aviation regulations and industry best practices. * Identify potential safety hazards, operational risks, and regulatory non-compliance issues through audits and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance safety. * Provide safety and compliance oversight of contracted and subcontracted suppliers, including remote and onsite audits as required. * Review documentation related to operational procedures, engineering designs, maintenance records, and regulatory compliance to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant standards. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including flight operations, maintenance, engineering, and regulatory compliance departments to address audit findings, implement corrective actions, and improve overall operational performance. * Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of evolving aviation regulations, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve audit processes, enhance operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with changing requirements. * Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, observations, and recommendations for management review, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders. * Represent the company by acting as escort for regulatory and client audits. * Provide training and guidance to operational and engineering staff on compliance requirements, best practices, and procedures to foster a culture of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Technical Requirements * Minimum 5 years of experience within the aviation sector * Minimum 2 years as an Auditor (Operations or Engineering) * Detailed knowledge/understanding of regulations with the ability to develop and communicate proposed amendments. * Understand Compliance Management System requirements. * Experience with subcontractor control processes * Experience in technical writing * Must have the right to reside and work in the UK * Hold a current Driving License Please send your CV of call Michelle for further details Qualifications * Desirable - recognised academic qualification undergraduate level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline which includes behavioral sciences and or Human Factors Investigation * Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
