The UK Air & Ocean Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement activities related to air & ocean freight operations & new sales. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. The Air & Ocean Procurement Manager will ensure cost-effective, efficient, and reliable transport solutions to meet the company’s operational and customer requirements & working to close our new business. Key Duties: UK Procurement Management Develop strategies for ocean and air freight. Negotiate contracts and rates for both ocean and airfreight. Identify our key export trade lanes and prepare marketing products for the Sales Team to use for prospective clients. Working closely with the Inside Sales and Tender Team to strongly support with tender contracts and adhoc pricing requests, both Air and Ocean Freight. Preparing monthly market updates on both, Air & Sea and sharing this information with upper management and national sales staff. Also using this information to create a monthly flyer which could be used and shared on social media platforms, such as LinkedIn To participate in the UK national Sales meetings, both via Teams and off site if and when required, so to demonstrate & update market trends, sharing new services, issues with suppliers, both for air & ocean services and helping the CSM to achieve our tonnage Build and maintain strong relationships with Airlines & Ocean carriers through regular face to face meetings. Review performance and resolve issues through regular meetings both Air & Ocean carriers. Attending both Airline and Shipping network building events to keep in touch with market trends and suppliers. Prepare reports on activities and costs. Find cost-saving opportunities through data analysis. Partake in the monthly European Air and Ocean meetings
