Job Title: Aerospace Structures Design Engineer Contract Type: * 3-Month Contract (Outside IR35) * Potential for Renewal Project Overview: This position is part of a high-profile defence project, requiring candidates to work on classified elements of metallic primary structures. British Citizenship is essential due to the sensitive nature of the work. Key Responsibilities: * Design and development of metallic primary structures using SolidWorks. * Ensure designs meet structural integrity and compliance requirements for defence applications. * Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure project objectives are met within tight deadlines. * Produce detailed technical documentation and design reports as required. Required Skills and Experience: * Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs. * Extensive experience working with metallic primary structures. * Knowledge of defence industry standards and practices is highly desirable. * Ability to work effectively on classified projects while adhering to strict confidentiality requirements. Contract Details: * Location: Derby (3 days on-site per week for the first month, with flexibility thereafter). * Start Date: January 2024 (ASAP availability preferred). * Rates: Open for discussion based on experience and expertise. * Travel: May need to travel to view customer (all costs covered).
