RC Fornax are seeking skilled Software Engineers, to develop software products in Ada, for a client working within Defence. This role is based in Edinburgh. Other key information about this role: * 4 days on site (as well as the ability to work a condensed 4 day week) * 12 month contract * Outside IR35 * £50-£75 per hour DOE * Active SC Clearance required & UK Nationals (Dual Nationalities may be considered) You must have a demonstrated working experience in: * Developing software solutions, primarily using Ada for all stages of the software lifecycle, from concept to delivery. * Investigation and resolution real integration problems on a highly complex system. * Creating high quality and robust code for a flying platform. * Delivering software and supporting technical documents. * Communication of technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders. Experience and knowledge in the following areas: * Full software development lifecycle. * Configuration management tools. Not essential but beneficial: * Developing software in Ada. * Experience in Aerospace, Defence or any other regulated sector such as medical or automotive. * Software development in a real time embedded environment. * Refactoring software implementation for large legacy systems. * Understanding of C. * Knowledge sharing techniques
