Purpose: To manage the transition, mobilisation and delivery of a large Defence Contract. The role will include: relationship management; commercial responsibility for profit and risk; protection of TVS scope during transition; Client encirclement (organic growth) and retention; commercial lead on new business opportunities and contribution to the TVS Defence Strategy to deliver long term sustainable growth. Main Duties & Responsibilities: * Management and maximisation of TVS’s commercial position through the transition period. * Seamlessly integrate the TVS scope of work into the Prime Contractor’s (TVS’s Client) solution, ensuring End Customer requirements are met * Be the voice of the customer internally within TVS ensuring outstanding Customer Service to this important project and champion continuous improvement activities to improve service and deliver financial benefit to both the Client and TVS; * Protect and grow TVS’s scope of work and commercial position * Be commercially accountable for contract performance, managing profit contribution, risks and all related commercial activities including commercialising out of scope activities; * Be accountable for Client encirclement activities - produce joint key account plans, risk registers and use other account management techniques to identify and facilitate strategic development and profitable growth of the account adding value to both parties; Wider responsibilities: * Contribute to the formulation and delivery of the Strategic Plan for the Defence Sector * Identify new business opportunities within the Defence sector, working with the wider TVS business winning team to create value propositions that win and deliver profitable, sustainable business growth; * Provide senior management representation and positive contribution in respect of ideas and insight, building and maintaining effective relationships and communication with all key internal stakeholders within TVS; * Keep abreast of Defence industry issues and developments and proactively communicate to the business Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications: * High degree of commercial and financial acumen * Strong management, influencing and interpersonal skills * Determined, empathetic and persuasive person * Demonstrates a proactive approach and the ability to organise to achieve results quickly and effectively – goal driven and customer focussed * Degree standard educational background or equivalent, ideally in a relevant discipline Experience: * Strong End to End Supply Chain knowledge * Experience of management of Vehicle Fleet / Asset management preferable * Knowledge of Defence Sector preferable * High level of commercial account management and problem solving experience within a Supply Chain environment * Proven track record of delivering customer retention and profitable growth to sizable Clients through application of mature account management techniques * Delivery of demanding performance and financial targets * Ability to work effectively in a pressurised work environment About TVS: TVS are a world leading supply chain services provider, implementing innovative supply chain solutions across a broad range of blue chip organisations worldwide.
